Resembling and named after Noah’s Ark, The Ark is located within the lush and game-rich Aberdare National Park. The Ark overlooks an active waterhole and salt lick, attracting a multitude of wildlife from elephants and buffalo to hyenas and rhinos, and with four viewing areas from which to observe the animal activity.

Your Stay
Offering simple and clean rooms with a king size bed, ensuite bathroom and views over the Aberdare landscape. Our favourite place within the hotel is the open-viewing area on deck D that give you perfect photo opportunities of the wildlife near the waterhole. There is also fantastic bird-watching, with 250 species recorded in the surrounding forest, and a nature walk can be organised with the hotel to go in search of the likes of the Sunbird.

Dining Options
The restaurant welcomes guests, with organic vegetables and spices picked from the Aberdare Country Club gardens as well as a well-stocked bar to enjoy a tipple as you spot the wildlife roaming the grounds outside. The staff here are incredibly welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them, on your stay.
