Upon arrival, we transfer to the impressive Trident Nariman Point for our first two nights in India. Later, we meet our Tour Manager and fellow travellers for a welcome drink, prior to dinner.

Following breakfast, we take a tour of Mumbai. We stroll through the city’s colonial precinct, passing many of the well-known landmarks – the Gateway of India, the iconic Taj Hotel and the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji (formerly Victoria) railway station. We visit the laundrymen at Dhobhi Ghat, and view the many Dabbawelas racing across the city delivering lunches! Embrace the rhythm of Bollywood, with our personal dance choreographer, browse a spice market, and sample some delicious costal fare. The evening is yours to unwind at leisure.

This morning, we take a short flight to Rajkot, followed by a scenic drive to Gir. Travelling through diverse landscapes, we arrive at the magnificent Fern Forest Resort Resort, our haven for the next two nights. As the evening unfolds, prepare to be captivated by the “Siddi-Dhamal” dance, a performance by Siddi Tribes, who migrated to Gujarat from Africa.

We rise early this morning, for an unforgettable Jeep safari through Gir National Park. Home to the majestic Asiatic lions, the park is also home to a diverse range of other wildlife, including the Indian leopard, Indian cobra, striped hyena and a wide range of bird species. Our day offers a perfect blend of thrilling wildlife encounters and relaxation. Explore the resort’s facilities including a swimming pool, spa and nature trails. This afternoon, we embark on another Jeep safari, revealing more of Gir’s hidden treasures. In the evening, relax and unwind with your fellow travelling companions

Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to Velavadar, where the mesmerising Blackbuck National Park beckons. Our overnight stay will be the impressive Blackbuck Safari Lodge. In the afternoon, an exciting safari awaits, inviting us to keep a vigilant eye out for the graceful blackbuck, the native Indian antelope, as well as elusive creatures including the jackal and jungle cats. As the evening settles in, enjoy dinner, concluding a day rich with safari experiences.

For those with an interest in yoga, we start our day with an early morning session, followed by a leisurely breakfast. We have a relaxed morning at our hotel and for those that wish, for an additional cost, a second safari into Velavadar can be arranged, presenting a golden opportunity to capture one last glimpse of the awe-inspiring wildlife dwelling within Blackbuck National Park. This afternoon, we travel to Ahmedabad, the most populous city in the Indian state of Gujarat. On arrival, we check in to the impressive Welcomhotel by ITC, for our next two nights.

This morning, we embark on a full-day exploration of Ahmedabad’s iconic landmarks. We discover the incredible Dada Harir Stepwell, built in 1499 by the supervisor of Sultan Mahmud Begada’s harem. Visits also include Sidi Saiyad Mosque and Hutheesing Temple, Gandhi Ashram and Shreyas Folk Museum, each site narrating the city’s rich and fascinating history.

A morning at leisure until we depart for the airport and our short flight to Nagpur. Upon arrival, we collect our cases and drive to Pench National Park, where we continue our wildlife adventure. We arrive at the wonderful Pench Jungle Resort for a two-night stay and enjoy dinner as we prepare for another exciting day ahead.

An early start as we embark on a Jeep safari through the renowned Pench National Park. This illustrious wildlife sanctuary, thought to have inspired the pages of The Jungle Book, beckons with its captivating allure. The park is home to numerous wild creatures including the Bengal tiger, peafowl, wild dog and sloth bear. Afterwards, enjoy breakfast at our hotel. Our day is at leisure until the early afternoon. Take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool, or perhaps relax and unwind in the hotel spa. Later, we join another thrilling jungle safari with the opportunity to witness more local wildlife. As the sun sets, delight in an enchanting stargazing session led by a local expert, who will show us the wonders of the Milky Way and the significance of stars and the moon’s position in Indian society.

Following breakfast today, we embark on a scenic drive to Kanha National Park. This afternoon we visit a nearby tribal village, providing an excellent opportunity to meet the friendly locals and gain a fascinating insight into their way of life. This evening, enjoy a Tiger Talk with a knowledgeable naturalist who will brief us about the animals and flora and fauna within the Kanha National Park. The delightful Kanha Jungle Camp is home for the next three nights.

Kickstart the day with a Jeep safari in Kanha National Park, a haven for Bengal tigers and diverse wildlife, such as Indian leopard, the sloth bear and the Indian wild dog. After our early morning safari, enjoy breakfast and unwind amongst the lodge’s facilities. This afternoon, we embark on another Jeep safari, led by a naturalist, as we seek to marvel at even more species of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Join an early morning Jeep safari for another opportunity to witness Kanha’s thriving ecosystem. Enjoy breakfast at the resort and indulge in a little leisure time. Should you prefer, join a naturalist-led nature walk around the resort. An exciting evening awaits as we delve into the world of Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book”, connecting you to the park’s captivating tales.

Following an early breakfast, we leave Kanha behind for our next destination – Bandhavgarh National Park. Upon arrival, we check in at the charming Tiger Den Resort, where we are able to enjoy an afternoon at leisure. This evening, a local naturalist enlightens us on the wonders of Bandhavgarh National Park.

Our day begins with a Jeep safari in Bandhavgarh National Park, a sanctuary of awe-inspiring natural beauty and biodiversity. Often hailed as one of the best places to spot the Bengal tiger, the park is also home to a diverse range of wildlife including leopards, bison and sambar deer. The rest of the morning is ours to spend at our leisure. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings of this luxury jungle resort prior to lunch. Our final Jeep safari awaits this afternoon, followed by dinner and a relaxing evening amongst friends.

Sadly, we must leave our safari adventures behind. We shall transfer to Jabalpur where our flight to Delhi awaits. Upon arrival we transfer to Pride Plaza Hotel Aerocity for our final night in India. This evening enjoy dinner as we reflect on the sights we have encountered over the last two weeks.

As we bid farewell to India, we board our return flight to the UK. Arrive back in London later in the day, with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
