Bold, bright and beautiful, the iconic silk lanterns of Hoi An can be found on just about every street corner and have the unique ability to transport the onlooker back in time. In this half-day experience, learn the tricks of the trade and see the way that silk and bamboo are expertly combined to make these beautiful pieces of art.
We enjoy a traditional tea and listen to a local expert talk through the historic and cultural significance of the lanterns before trying it out ourselves.
Sign bamboo stakes, attach them with wire threads, then shape and secure them with thread. Next, choose from a gloriously vibrant selection of patterned and coloured silks to create a unique reminder of the day.
This wonderful workshop will be led by a local artist and is not to be missed.
