Highlights:
- Bush damper cooking
- Star gazing
- Aboriginal insights
- Cattleman’s talk
This unique and authentic experience immerses you in the spirit and grandeur that is the Australian Outback. From the moment you arrive you’ll be captivated by the setting sun exploding in a ray of colour in the great expanse of the Northern Territory sky. This fun filled evening of entertainment and outback cuisine is set in the remote East MacDonnell Ranges. Harking back to earlier times, the evening is spent gathered round a cosy campfire in the style of an old-time cattle camp. You will not be left hungry as you tuck into scotch fillet steak (also known as rib eye), prime beef sausages, steaming hot potatoes, an array of fresh salads. This is followed by a delicious dessert of baked hot rum and raisin damper with outback cream served with a delicious cup of billy tea. Throughout the night, under a canopy of stars, listen to a bush balladeer, as they sing timeless Australian songs. Sharing tales that go beyond traditional folk stories, providing a rare insight into the early ways of the Australian Outback Cattleman.
