“My favourite tour has to be The Very Best of Australia, where we first started, and this tour showcases its many charms. It’s such a friendly country with many contrasting experiences, from travelling on The Ghan train in the heart of the Red Centre to snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns, which was one of my favourite places. I remember strolling along the esplanade by the sea, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere and stopping for a drink outside whilst watching parrots, lorikeets and bats flying in the trees above us. My key highlight however has to be climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge at sunset and seeing the city from this exclusive viewpoint.”

“I have travelled a great deal during my time on the Product Team at Distant Journeys, but I have to say The Very Best of Vietnam & Cambodia stands out as my favourite tour, as it really has something for everyone: food experiences, unique landscapes, and the harmony between old and new traditions. My highlight was a leisurely three-day cruise along the iconic Mekong Delta, a wonderful way to travel between the two countries at a relaxed pace whilst learning more about local communities and their rich culture. Finishing off this tour watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I would return in a heartbeat. ”

“My favourite has to be our Grand Tour of India. There were so many fantastic experiences, however, as I got to celebrate a special birthday in Agra, seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise on the day itself was spectacular. Visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar was very humbling, especially watching the volunteers prepare the food served to the thousands of visitors. The local people are so welcoming and will always greet you with a smile. You arrive in India as a stranger and will leave as a friend.”
